Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed preparations for the Victory Day celebration at a Security Council meeting. This was announced by the President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“A number of issues related to preparations for the Victory Day celebration were discussed,” Peskov said.
According to him, the operational meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, State Duma Chairman State Vyacheslav Volodin, Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko, as well as President Special Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
Peskov also said there will be no traditional reception in the Kremlin on May 9 this year.
