Video footage of the Russian Aerospace Forces strike on a large Ukrainian Armed Forces base in Berislav, Kherson region appeared on the web. The aviation attacked places of concentration of personnel and equipment, as well as fuel and lubricant and ammunition depots. It is stated that corrected aerial bombs were used to destroy these objects.
Berislav is located on the right bank of the Dnieper, a few kilometers from Nova Kakhovka. This settlement came under the control of the Ukrainian army in September last year. Since then, the Ukrainian army has set up large fuel and ammunition depots there. Moreover, on the eve of the next counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a large number of military personnel and equipment were concentrated here.
For a long time, Russian intelligence has been accumulating information about the concentration of Ukrainian armed forces in Berislav. It was found that ammunition and fuel and lubricant depots are equipped in the industrial zone of the city. On May 4, an airstrike was carried out on it.
The published images clearly show how adjustable aerial bombs hit the hangars, which contained enemy equipment and personnel. According to Russian intelligence estimates, a total of about 20 vehicles and about 15 armored vehicles were destroyed as a result of the airstrike. In addition, ammunition and fuel and lubricant warehouses were destroyed.
It is obvious that the moment of impact was not chosen at random. By early May, the Ukrainian army had almost completed preparations for a counteroffensive. They were just waiting for teams from Kyiv. However, it will no longer be easy for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to achieve success in this area. Such a large-scale loss of ammunition and fuel will not be easy to replenish.
