Fire breaks out in China’s coal mine, five people missing

Zhengzhou. Five people are still missing after a massive fire broke out at a coal mine in Sanmenxia city of China’s Henan province. Company sources gave this information on Thursday.

Sources said that the fire brigade personnel trying to control the massive fire in the coal mine could not douse it till Thursday morning. Many workers of Gengkun Mine were trapped in this accident, who were safely pulled out by the rescue workers, but five of them are still missing.

Significantly, an expert group has reached the mine to discuss the follow-up rescue operation. Gengcun Mine is a subsidiary of Henan Dayu Energy Co., Ltd.
