Zelenskyy not happy with decision to hold Eurovision in UK

Volodymyr Zelenskyy was unhappy with the decision to hold Eurovision in the UK. According to him, the competition should have been held in the country closest to Ukraine – Poland or Slovakia. This was reported by the Daily Mail newspaper.

“From the beginning, I believed that if we could not organize Eurovision, it should take place in one of the countries that have a common border with us, for example in Slovakia, Poland or in any other country where our citizens can easily get there,” Zelenskyy reportedly said.

The newspaper points out that the UK recently showed goodwill and decided to supply Ukraine with Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

Earlier it became known that the European Broadcasting Union banned the politician from performing in the Eurovision final. The reason for the refusal was the apolitical nature of the event.
