Jaipur. A 22-year-old youth was allegedly killed by an ax by a man in Padarli village of Rajasthan’s Jalore district on Wednesday.
According to the police, the accused Sankalaram Bhil (50) was taken into custody soon after the incident. The local people demanded immediate arrest of the accused. Jalore Superintendent of Police Kiran Kang said that the youth, Kishore Singh, had allegedly abused Bhil and thrashed his grandson in a drunken state. Both were neighbors in Padarli village.
“The accused in a fit of rage attacked the youth with an axe. The victim’s body has been kept at the mortuary for post-mortem. The situation is under control and peaceful,” Kang said. They are demanding compensation and arrest of the accused. Ahore police station officer Girdhar Singh said that the accused would be arrested after the registration of the FIR.
Police said the accused followed Kishore Singh on a bike on Wednesday evening and when he stopped, the accused attacked him thrice from behind with an axe, killing the victim. Thereafter, the accused took away the head of the deceased and threw it 150 meters away from the spot, he said.
