Russia and Armenia discussed combating the spread of disinformation

Russian-Armenian inter-MFA consultations were held in Moscow on issues of information support for foreign policy activities and work with the media, reports the Russian Foreign Ministry. The talks took place on the sidelines of a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.

The parties exchanged views on interaction in the information space. The diplomats also discussed combating the spread of misinformation.

Representatives of the Foreign Ministries of Russia and Armenia expressed their interest in further developing contacts and exchanges between the media of the two countries.

On May 19, Moscow hosted a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. He discussed the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the delimitation of the borders of the conflicting states.
