Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has commented on rumors about his illness. According to the head of the republic, he had an adenovirus, but “not going to die” transmits BelTA.

“Calm down. This is nothing more than idle speculation about messengers and telegram channels,” Lukashenko said during a meeting with Belarusian health officials.

The head of state noted that the adenovirus, which he was diagnosed with earlier, “is treated for three days.” The Belarusian leader added that “all this accumulated”, since he did not have the opportunity to get treatment because “you have to go to Moscow, then to the subbotniks, then to Grodno, then to Gomel”.

“That’s why I’m not going to die, guys. You will still suffer with me for a very long time,” Lukashenko said.

Lukashenka was in Moscow on May 9 during a military parade dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. After that, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of six foreign states went to Alexander Garden to lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Lukashenko was taken there by car.

The President of Belarus also did not stay for breakfast with Putin and other leaders. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Lukashenka “must leave as soon as possible” due to events “related to Victory Day in Minsk”.

In the Belarusian capital on May 9, Lukashenka laid flowers at the monument in Victory Square, but did not deliver a speech. Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin did it for him. The President of the Republic also missed the celebration of the Day of State Symbols on May 14.

Lukashenka’s hasty departure from Moscow and his absence from the public for several days sparked rumors about the politician’s illness. On May 13, Euroradio reported that the presidential motorcade arrived at a medical center near Minsk. On May 14, Belarusian opponent Pavel Latushko said that, according to his information, Lukashenka suffered from infectious allergic myocarditis.

The same day about Lukashenko’s disease declared Deputy of the State Duma Konstantin Zatulin. “There’s nothing supernatural there, it’s not covid. The man just got sick,” he said.

On May 15, the telegram channel Pul Pervogo, close to the press service of the President of Belarus, published a photo of Lukashenko for the first time since May 9. The photo shows that his hand is bandaged.

“The first is currently working at the central command post of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces. He will listen to a report on the organization and performance of combat duty tasks in air defense. The event starts now. Details to come soon! – then wrote “Pool of the First”.

On the same day, Lukashenka visited the central command post of the Air Force and the Air Defense Forces, where he said that since May 13, after reports of an accident of plane in the Bryansk region, the Belarusian troops were transferred to the number one readiness level. .
