UAE Visa Update: The UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has announced a new package of 15 updates to the Smart Service System.

Citizens who are prescribed citizens are exempted from the requirement of fingerprinting while applying for issue, renewal or replacement of passport. It also includes a rule allowing visa extensions of an additional 30 days for holders of a 90-day visa. There is a moratorium on renewal of visas of legal citizens for stays of more than 6 months. Visa data cancellation and amendment services will be available for accounts of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nationals without Emirates ID. A single or multiple entry travel visa can be extended for 30, 60 and 90 days on account of a relative or friend.
