The Business Ombudsman of the Leningrad region discussed prospects for cooperation with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in St. Petersburg

On Tuesday, April 11, Elena Ruleva, Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in the Leningrad region, held a working meeting with the Consul for Trade and Economic Affairs of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in St. Petersburg, Ms. Ai Jie, as well as with the Consul for Science and Technology, Mr. Cao Xin. Regional commissioner. In addition, the parties shared information on the main areas of their activities.

Elena Ruleva spoke about the structure of the institution of the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights at the federal and regional levels, what function they perform and what has been done to protect the rights of entrepreneurs in Russia and in the Leningrad region, including for enterprises with foreign capital.

“Today a constructive meeting took place, we discussed options for interaction between the Plenipotentiary and the Consulate General of the PRC in St. Petersburg. We agreed to organize forums, round tables and other events that could be useful for the business community in the region,” commented Elena Ruleva, business lawyer.

In conclusion, the regional commissioner stressed the importance of developing Russian-Chinese cooperation. She added that China has always been a reliable partner for Russia in general and the Leningrad region in particular.
