Andrey Dudkin, head of the representative office of the Nizhny Novgorod region in Belarus, considers the Klimovichi festival a good example of public diplomacy:
- Our teams traditionally participate in the “Golden bee”. There is serious competition to get here. We see the culture of the different states, it is very important. And children are the main conductors of peace and friendship. They are open, want to be friends, communicate. The level is at its highest: these young stars have a lot to learn from professional artists.
The creative result of the festival is four Grands Prix in three categories: vocal, choreographic and visual arts. The Russians were the best in dancing: the Grand Prix was won by the Variety and Sports Dance Ensemble “Serpentin” from the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Both the soloist and the group received the highest honor in the “Vocal Art” nomination. The honored amateur team of the Republic of Belarus from the exemplary children’s variety studio “Veselye notki” from Mogilev celebrated its 45th anniversary last year. Artistic director Pavel Pobegaev says the team attends the festival every year:
– Recently we had a report concert where 170 guys attended. That’s all the talent we have: vocal groups of all ages, choreography, instrumental ensemble. The Grand Prix was won by the senior group. The guys performed “Lullaby” from VIA “Pesnyary”.
Interestingly, another Grand Prize was awarded to the soloist of the vocal choir studio not from an art school, but from the usual school of Mogilev N 41, Ulyana Tishchenko. The head of the studio “Constellation” Inga Reshko said that 70 schoolchildren sang here. Talented young artists are invited to all city parties, in their more than 20-year history of the studio, they have many victories in competitions and festivals.
