Although online gaming apps are harmful to the society in many ways, but their use by radical Islamic elements for religious conversion has come to the fore as a big vicious circle. Its disclosure is surprising. Taufiq and Aryan Khan are being interrogated along with the main accused Shahnawaz Khan alias Baddo, who was arrested by the police. It’s the whole gang. The role of police officers of Ghaziabad district in disclosing this is commendable. This gang even forced a teenager from Rajnagar, Ghaziabad to offer Namaz in the mosque under the guise of this game. He was coaxed that Islam is the best religion in the world. This teenager had bought some computer parts from Baddo two years ago.
Police has also arrested Jama Masjid Committee member Abdul Rehman alias Nanni in connection with the conversion of this inter pass student through online gaming app. Apart from this student, evidence has also been found of converting two teenagers and a youth. The police have accused Abdul Rahman of getting the conversion done because the four converts used to regularly go to offer Namaz. The Imam says that Rehman was expelled from the mosque committee two months ago.
Senior Uttar Pradesh police officer Nipun Agarwal says that one of the seven numbers recovered from the student’s mobile was Abdul’s. The student had met Abdul about seven-eight months ago in the Jama Masjid itself. Abdul sent him Islamic material. Made pressure on him to offer Namaz. In fact, this gang used to say during the online game that if you read the verse, you will win continuously. And the teenage mind used to do this after coming to their words. The special thing is that the IDs of the people of this gang are in the name of Hindus, so that no one doubts them. The strings of the gang are also connected to foreign countries.
In Prayagraj too, a 17-year-old member of a Brahmin family was poisoned through a gaming app. After this this boy stopped worshiping. After going to the tomb, reading the text written in Urdu, started kissing him. Broke his sacred thread and threw it away. Started wearing net cap and started listening to Qawwali.
Psychiatrist Dr. Ishanya Raja of Calvin Hospital has said that after talking to mother-son, it has become clear that more teenagers are being converted under the guise of mobile games. Police say that in the investigation so far, youths from five states have been found to be converted. Call details of Baddo’s mobile phone revealed that more than 100 youths came in contact with him in the last one year. Information has been received from his bank that lakhs of rupees were being deposited in his account every month.
This amount was deposited in Gujarat, Maharashtra, UP, Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh. Investigating agencies have also found some clues of Pakistan connection. It has even been claimed that Baddo’s gang has converted 400 people in Thane of Maharashtra and about 400 people in Gujarat as well.
It is a matter of satisfaction that a strict anti-conversion law is in force in Uttar Pradesh. There is also a provision to take steps like imposition of National Security Act and gangster on the accused of conversion. Along with this, there is a provision for confiscation of property. It is clear from all that now there is a need to keep an eye on the children. This has become essential with this game running online gaming app.
