In a question I asked him if he had achieved everything he wanted, he said: I cannot say that I have achieved everything I want, because what you want differs according to age and maturity, so the more I reach and feel bored, my ambitions rise to something greater and so on, because the nature of life changes and therefore desires change, and no I consider myself finished because I always have a goal. Currently, I have the goal of going to America to climb a mountain there, and I have goals in writing, tasting art, seeing new societies, and learning new things.
He resorted to sports 30 years ago. I asked him if he considered sports an escape from pressure or loneliness, and he said:
I do not consider sports an escape from pressure, nor do I feel lonely. I have my family, my book, my friends all over the world, I have the means of communication, and I am integrated with development and technology.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Quwaiz, 86 years old, admitted that he still makes mistakes, and there is no age that makes him infallible, and there are still people who can be deceived by him, because by virtue of age, his heart has become more tender, but based on experience, he discovers deception faster.
And he went on to say that age has nothing to do with maturity, because sometimes I relax with young people and learn more from them than my generation, because everything my generation has is mine, so they say things that I already know, and this is what makes me steal my children’s friends.
My life consists of several factors of diligence and luck, and wasta has never benefited me, and I do not believe in it and do not depend on it or even on luck because it is a loss. You must take risks, especially with what you believe in.
He experienced generations, and witnessed Vision 2030, about which he said: We are blessed with our ambitious leadership that takes difficult decisions, which made the Kingdom a renewable energy, life, leap and ambition that made us ready to confront the whole world, but I blame women who use freedom to compete with men in a repulsive way!!
The interview ended, but my eagerness to learn more about it did not.
He insisted on taking me to the elevator and said: I am a diplomatic man, I used to say goodbye to my guests this way.
