Under the patronage of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council in the Republic of Yemen, and in the presence of the Assistant Supervisor General of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Eng. Hadhramout is represented by 20 projects and vital development programs with a value exceeding 1.2 billion Saudi riyals, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the directives and interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – save them God -.

Vital development projects and initiatives were launched yesterday, at a ceremony held on this occasion, which includes a number of vital projects and initiatives for which the foundation stone has been laid, namely: the project to establish and equip the university hospital and cancer center at Hadramout University, the project to establish a gas separation and treatment plant, and the construction of a power plant in Seiyun to reach The production capacity of 100 megabytes for the station, the project to implement the new ring road in Mukalla – the first phase -, the project to rehabilitate the border crossing in Al-Wadiah, the package of educational and technical facilities projects, the project to enhance water resources in the governorate, the project to rehabilitate the city of Shibam, the project to protect historical libraries, and the economic empowerment project and support food supply chains.

Hadramawt governorate had many development projects and initiatives presented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in various basic and vital sectors, including a project to raise the efficiency of the fish sector by providing fishing boats with their engines, and a project to enhance emergency emergency capacity by providing many ambulances, including medical equipment, and a project to raise the efficiency of water transportation. By providing water transport tanks in Hadramout Governorate, the project to enhance the emergency emergency capacity of Seiyun Airport, the project to equip Seiyun General Hospital, in addition to supplying the governorate with oil derivatives in quantities amounting to 367 thousand metric tons, at a cost of 423 million Saudi riyals.

The projects and initiatives of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen also included projects and initiatives that are being implemented, namely: a project to rehabilitate and restore the Seiyun Palace, a project to rehabilitate and raise the efficiency of Al-Abr Road, a project to establish and equip a model school in the Seiyun district, a project to establish and equip a school in the Mukalla district, and a project to use renewable energy to improve quality life.

The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen provided a successful and pioneering development experience that contributed to the improvement of various aspects of life and the improvement of various basic and daily services. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, presented many development projects and initiatives in the neighboring governorates of Hadramout, such as the King Salman Medical and Education City project, which is one of the largest projects that serve the health and education sectors in Yemen. The project to establish King Salman Medical and Educational City includes the construction of an integrated educational hospital with a capacity of 110 beds, on an area of ​​one million square meters, in an effort to cover the needs of Al-Mahra Governorate and the needs of its neighboring governorates, as well as the project to establish a dialysis center in Al-Mahra, and the project to establish an operations and intensive care center. In Al-Ghaydah Hospital, which now provides qualitative medical operations for all beneficiaries from Al-Mahra Governorate, Hadramout Governorate, and other Yemeni governorates.

The projects and initiatives of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in Hadhramout governorate include the project of equipping Seiyun General Hospital with 191 modern medical devices and equipment, which contributed to the improvement and development of medical services in the governorate. Operations and ultrasound devices, in addition to equipping the oral and dental clinic with complete equipment and equipment, an advanced and modern dental chair, equipping the eye clinic room with modern equipment and equipment, equipping the ambulance and emergency department, and equipping family medicine clinics.

Hadramout governorate benefits from the projects and initiatives of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, which include a project to use renewable energy to improve the quality of life in Yemen, which comes with a triple contribution from the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) and the Selah Foundation for Development, to meet the needs of the Yemeni brothers in finding Clean and potable water, and a contribution to achieving water security and strengthening rural resilience, as well as to contributing to improving the quality of life by providing drinking water using clean energy, reducing the suffering of people in the difficulty of providing water, and saving fuel, operational and economic costs for beneficiaries.

The renewable energy project to improve the quality of life in Yemen includes the rehabilitation of wells by implementing 12 drinking water systems with renewable energy, providing 35 agricultural irrigation systems with renewable energy, in addition to providing energy for 20 educational and health facilities, and supplying 133 homes with renewable energy.

The projects and initiatives of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen include a project to restore Sayun Palace in Hadramout Governorate, funded by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen and implemented by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with the aim of contributing to supporting the Yemeni government’s efforts to protect antiquities and historical areas at risk. The project comes within the framework of the Yemeni government’s assistance to protect the Yemeni heritage from extinction, as an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pioneering role in preserving the history and antiquities of the Arabian Peninsula and Arab and Islamic countries, and the Kingdom’s interest in preserving and preserving the tangible and intangible heritage in Yemen.

The projects and initiatives of the program include the project of establishing and equipping the University Hospital and the Cancer Center at Hadramout University in Hadramout Governorate in order to provide advanced health care to citizens and provide an appropriate environment for training health practitioners at the university and support scientific research and development, in addition to providing specialized treatment for tumors, which limits and enhances early intervention to combat disease. and reduce the number of deaths.

In support of the transportation sector, the program is working on the implementation of the Al-Abr Road expansion and rehabilitation project. To reduce the dangers and damages resulting from the wear of the road, and to achieve a high level of safe movement for travelers and to facilitate the connection between cities, which is a strategic link between the governorates. The projects and initiatives of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in Hadramout governorate include a project to construct and equip a model school in Seiyun, and a project to construct and equip a model school in Mukalla. It is part of 31 model schools in various Yemeni governorates, and within 52 development projects and initiatives in the education sector across Yemen.

Scientific facilities and modern technologies in model schools help in enhancing the comprehensive knowledge of male and female students, as well as enhancing the educational process and raising the level of educational attainment for students. For everyone. The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen also supported the fisheries sector through an initiative to support fishermen with motorized fishing boats, to contribute to building community assets with productive capacity and efficiency that support value chains, and to contribute to achieving food security and supporting the standard of living of beneficiary communities.


The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen presented an initiative to support the governorate of Hadramout with many ambulances equipped for rapid response to emergency situations, as well as an initiative to provide water trucks and tanks to provide fresh and safe water, and to meet water needs in the various beneficiary areas, as well as an initiative to supply an ambulance with emergency supplies and equipment. Seiyun Airport in support of emergency medical cases. It is noteworthy that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen presented 229 development projects and initiatives that it implemented in various Yemeni governorates to serve the Yemeni brothers in 7 basic sectors, namely: education, health, water, energy, transportation, and agriculture.
