Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Bhopal on Tuesday, June 27, flagged off India’s Indigenously Developed Semi-High Speed Trains from Rani Kamalapati Station here. -High Speed Trains) will be flagged off physically and virtually. This information was given by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway on Sunday. He informed that Western Railway is all set to start a new Vande Bharat Express train between Rani Kamalapati and Indore stations. The inauguration of Rani Kamlapati-Indore Vande Bharat Express between two important cities of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal and Indore will forever change the experience of train travel for passengers.
According to Thakur, the inaugural service of Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off by the Prime Minister on June 27 at 10.30 am from Rani Kamalapati station. At the time of inauguration, the train will run as train number 02912 from Rani Kamalapati station and reach Indore Junction at 14.18 hrs. The inaugural train will stop at Bhopal, Sehore, Shujalpur, Maksi and Ujjain en route. To make the journey a memorable one, during the inaugural journey, Western Railway will give away souvenirs like cap and key-chain to the passengers as well as souvenir tickets.
He informed that drawing and painting competition was organized for school children in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sehore. More than 200 children participated in the competition and 50 lucky students will get a golden opportunity to travel in the newly launched amazing Vande Bharat Express. Specially designed water bottles and caps will be distributed among them to cherish the memories of the day. In terms of entertainment, board games like Ludo have also been arranged to keep the children busy.

This technology has been developed indigenously under the Make in India initiative due to which its cost is very low. The train is designed to increase the green footprint of Indian Railways by omitting power cars and saving around 30 per cent electricity with advanced regenerative braking system.
Regular operation of Indore-Bhopal Vande Bharat Superfast Express will start from June 28. This train will run 6 days a week and will not run on Sundays. Train number 20911 Indore – Bhopal Vande Bharat Superfast Express will leave Indore at 06.30 hrs and will reach Bhopal at 09.35 hrs. Similarly, in the return direction, Train No. 20912 Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Superfast Express will leave Bhopal at 19.25 hrs and will reach Indore at 22.30 hrs. The train will halt at Ujjain station in both the directions. The booking for Train No 20911 will open on 26th June, 2023 at PRS counters and on IRCTC website.
