The entry of devotees will remain closed from July 4 to September 11 in the sanctum sanctorum of the Mahakal temple.

Ujjain. The entry of devotees will be restricted from July 4 to September 11 in the sanctum sanctorum of the world-famous Jyotirlinga Lord Mahakaleshwar temple during the month of Shravan-Bhadau. During this, the system of entering the sanctum sanctorum on the receipt of Rs 750 will also be closed. This decision was taken in the meeting of the temple management committee held under the chairmanship of Collector Kumar Purushottam on Sunday evening.

Actually, the month of Shravan is starting from July 4 and there is a huge gathering of devotees in Shravan to have the darshan of Lord Mahakal. In view of this, the said decision was taken by the temple committee. However, the management committee has given a gift to the people living in Ujjain to enter the Mahakal temple through a separate gate. Local devotees can enter Gate no. One will be able to enter the temple. Mayor Mukesh Tatwal will start the facility by entering the temple as the first citizen. The Mayor had also given the proposal for the people of Ujjain to enter through a separate gate.

The names of the artistes who will perform in the Shravan festival have also been decided in the meeting. In the meeting, a decision has also been taken to construct a 10-bed hospital, four state-of-the-art facilities and a maternity ward for the convenience of the devotees. Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Administrator Sandeep Kumar Soni, SP Sachin Sharma, committee members Pt. Ram Pujari, Pt. Pradeep Guru, Pt. Rajendra Guruji and other members were present in the meeting.

Laddu Prasad costlier by Rs 40 per kg, will get Rs 400 per kg

It has also been decided to increase the price of Lord Mahakal’s Laddu Prasad in the meeting. The committee has increased the price of Laddu Prasad by Rs 40 per kg. At present, Laddu Prasad is being sold at Rs.360 per kg. In the month of Shravan, devotees will have to buy Laddu Prasad at Rs.400 per kg. With this decision of the committee, additional burden has increased on the pockets of the devotees. In the matter, the committee says that at present the manufacturing cost of Laddu Prasad is Rs 400.84 per kg. Even after increasing the price to Rs 400 per kg, the committee will have to bear a loss of 84 paise per kg.

In the meeting, discussion was held on giving special packages to big donors who cooperated in the development of the temple. However, no decision has been taken on this at the moment.
