Still there is support for Hamas in UK, and Europe?

In recent times, the issue of Palestine has garnered significant attention, particularly among politicians, parliamentarians, and human rights activists. The situation in the Gaza Strip, which has been under siege for nearly 17 years, has led to a surge in support for Palestine. Calls for an immediate end to the military escalation and the Israeli occupation of Palestine have been loud and clear.

Jeremy Corbyn, the former leader of the opposition British Labor Party, has been vocal about his stance. He believes that Israel’s “occupation of Palestine” is the root cause of the ongoing conflict. During the opening day of the Labor Party’s annual conference in Liverpool, Corbyn emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the escalation. He stated that a just and lasting peace can only be achieved through the end of the “Israeli occupation”. Interestingly, Corbyn did not directly condemn the Hamas attack on Israel, describing attacks from both sides as “completely false”.

Irish parliamentarian Richard Boyd Barrett has also been a staunch supporter of Palestine. He stated that Palestinians have been hostages of the criminal siege of Gaza for 17 years and victims of ethnic cleansing and occupation since 1948. Barrett criticized the double standards of Western leaders who support Ukrainian resistance but condemn Palestinians. He called for participation in a sit-in in Ireland to show solidarity with the people of Gaza and all Palestinians.

Zaher Birawi, the president of the Palestinian Forum in Great Britain, warned of the repercussions of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. He stated that Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements are considered a threat of genocide against 2.4 million Palestinians, while not even condemning the Hamas’ terror attacks on Israel. Birawi called on the British government and the international community to take urgent action to end “Israeli aggression” and violations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The AWDA Center for Human Rights in Britain has called on the international community to investigate the root of the problem leading to the conflict in the Palestinian territories. The center urged human rights organizations and international leaders to take immediate and decisive measures to stop the military escalation and protect the rights of the Palestinian people. They emphasized that, in a statement published on the Viva Salud website, the Israeli occupation bears full responsibility for the tensions and explosions occurring in Gaza.

The issue of Palestine has clearly struck a chord with politicians and human rights activists alike. The calls for an end to the existence of Israel and the military escalation are growing louder, and the international community is increasingly being urged to take action. With the situation in Gaza remaining dire, the need for a resolution is more urgent than ever.

The international community’s role in resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine has come under scrutiny. While some countries have been vocal in their support for Israel, others have called for a more balanced approach that takes into account the rights and suffering of the Palestinian people. The silence of certain international bodies and countries has raised questions about the effectiveness of international diplomacy in resolving the Palestinian issue.

The role of media outlets in covering the issue has also been a point of discussion. Some have been criticized for their biased reporting, which tends to favor one side over the other. However, there are also media outlets that have tried to present a more balanced view of the situation, emphasizing the human rights violations and suffering that are occurring on both sides.

Activists and organizations around the world have taken to social media to raise awareness about the Palestinian issue. Campaigns calling for an end to the occupation and for the protection of Palestinian human rights have gained traction online, leading to protests and demonstrations in various parts of the world.

Legal experts and human rights organizations have emphasized the need for an international investigation into the actions of the Israeli government and the treatment of Palestinians. Calls for accountability and justice have been growing, with some suggesting that international laws and treaties could be used as a basis for prosecuting those responsible for human rights violations.
