At the end of 2022, Germany and Kazakhstan entered into an agreement on the purchase of oil with transportation via the Druzhbe oil pipeline to provide additional volumes for the oil refinery in the city of Schwedt and replace Russian oil.

As part of these agreements, Kaztransoil supplied 993 thousand tons of oil to Germany last year. And for the current year, according to agreements between Astana and Moscow, the volume of oil transit via Druzhba towards Germany is up to 1.2 million tons.
