Ankara hopes that Türkiye , Russia and Iran will soon hold a meeting in the Astana format at the ministerial level with the aim of resolving the situation in Syria. This was announced by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan , the broadcast was conducted on the diplomatic department’s social media pages.

According to Fidan, he has already discussed the restoration of the Astana process with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. The format will be re-organized in the near future.

According to CNN, that armed groups of the Syrian opposition launched a major offensive against government troops in the western districts of Aleppo province. As a result, the militants captured 13 settlements, including the strategically important cities of Urm al-Sughra and Anjar , the channel’s source claimed.
