Games Workshop has revealed two new Regiments of Renown that let the duardin of its upcoming Khazalite Holds army join other Warhammer Age of Sigmar forces. Both come from the faction’s forthcoming battletome and can be used by any army in the game’s Grand Alliance Order, the publisher said on its Warhammer Community site on November 5.

Fjori’s Vengeance centres on Fjori, the last survivor of the fallen magmahold of Guzanhold, and the mercenary Fyreslayers he has gathered to seek revenge for its fall. Fjori is a close-combat unit with an ability that lets him reappear near a board edge once per battle. The regiment’s new Itinerant Grimmdron rule lets the rest of the group do the same: once per battle, in the deployment phase, if Fjori has used that ability, the other units are set up again within 6 inches of a board edge, within 6 inches of Fjori and more than 9 inches from enemy units. Games Workshop’s article says this could help armies pull enemy troops away from the front line.

Thengin’s Grudgesettlers is a larger force built around a Runewright. It includes 10 Clanshields, 10 Clangunners and an Oathkeeper Cannon. The Rune of Stoicism spell, which costs 7 to cast, gives the regiment’s units a Ward of 6+ while they are within 12 inches of the Runewright. The Grudgesettlers rule gives each unit a grudge mark at the start of the battle, which is removed once the unit destroys an enemy.

Games Workshop’s article suggests players could pair the Fyreslayers with Kharadron Overlords airships or fast aelven cavalry, and the cannon with Daughters of Khaine or Idoneth Deepkin armies. It also says the regiments are a way to use the new miniatures without buying a full army. Pre-orders for the Khazalite Holds, including Fjori’s Vengeance and the individual Grudgesettlers units, open “from Saturday,” according to the Warhammer Community article, which gives no price.

The reveal follows other recent miniature news from the publisher, including a festive Squigmobile model for Da Red Gobbo. These rules and recommendations come from the publisher’s own promotional article, not independent testing. Eastern Herald has not played the rules or handled the miniatures.
