Today, a patient suspected of anthrax was hospitalized in the Moscow region. This was reported in the Rospotrebnadzor regional department. A citizen who came from Chuvashia was taken to a medical institution.

“An epidemiological investigation was launched immediately. A complex of necessary anti-epidemic measures has been organized. Disinfection was carried out at the citizen’s home,” the department noted.

Recall that several cases of anthrax infection were found in the Chuvash village of Staroe Aktashevo. This was first known a week ago on March 15. Now the whole village is under quarantine.

You can only enter the village with a special pass through the checkpoint. Local residents are prohibited from harvesting and exporting animal feed. It is also forbidden to slaughter and butcher cattle.
