In Moscow, two officials of the Federal Customs Service were arrested in a corruption case

In Moscow, high-ranking employees of the FCS were detained on suspicion of accepting a bribe, reports TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.

“Deputy head of the Central Customs Administration Alexander Beglov and head of the specialized customs post of the Central Customs Administration Alexander Aleev were arrested on suspicion of corruption,” the statement said.

It is specified that searches were carried out at the homes and workplaces of those arrested.

The choice of a restraint measure will be known in the near future.

Information about the detention has also been confirmed by the FCS, indicating that investigative actions are currently underway.

“We confirm the fact of the detention, investigative actions are underway,” the press service said.

Earlier it was reported that Major General Vadim Dragomiretsky, Deputy Commander of the Central Russian Guard District, was arrested by the Reutov Garrison Military Court for accepting bribes amounting to of 28 million rubles.
