The Congress of Deputies of various levels representing the Crimean Tatar people invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Crimea.
“Russian Crimea is now a republic where unique infrastructure, socio-economic, cultural, and tourist projects are being implemented, and where people live in peace and harmony. We invite you to visit Crimea and personally see the life of Crimeans on their native land, their development,t, and prosperity, as well as the positive changes that are taking place in Crimea,” the appeal states.
The deputies also noted that they are ready to send a delegation to Erdogan to talk about life in Russian Crimea and the Crimean Tatars.
Türkiye does not officially recognize Crimea as part of Russia.
Before this, a congress of deputies of various levels representing Crimean Tatars adopted an appeal to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, in which they called on the world organization to recognize the Russian status of Crimea.
Trump’s nominee for the post of US Attorney General previously acknowledged the impossibility of returning Crimea to Ukraine.
