Turkey’s first stand-alone flying vehicle called the “Cezeri”, has been successfully tested in Istanbul, the manufacturer told an Eastern Herald representative in a press meet in Istanbul.

Turkish engineers are responsible for the design and production, and “Cezeri” flew at a height of ten meters during the flight tests of the prototype of 230 kilograms, said the manufacturer Baykar.

In the next process, we will make more advanced prototypes. We will fly with people – said Selcuk Bayraktar, the Chief Technology Officer of the company.

Bajraktar stated that it will take 10 to 15 years for “Cezeri” to be on the streets and three to four years for recreational use in rural areas.

After smart cars, the revolution in the automotive industry will be flying cars. From this point of view, we are preparing for tomorrow’s races, not today’s – Bayraktar added.
