Golfer Kaymer starts donation campaign and gives 50,000 euros

Berlin – Germany’s top golfer Martin Kaymer has started a fundraiser in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and has already committed 50,000 euros as start-up capital.

“Saying thank you is always a good thing. Especially when the thanks go to those who save lives every day in the corona crisis and do everything they can to fight the pandemic, »wrote the 35-year-old from Mettmann in a message on his social media channels.

The fundraising campaign launched by the two-time major winner together with his foundation is intended to support specific institutions and organizations in Germany, Italy and South Africa. Among other things, Kaymer would like to make the collected money available for the Heinsberg region, which was particularly affected by the corona crisis, and for the hospital in his hometown Mettmann.
