Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday said the investment treaty between China and the European Union (EU) will make significant contributions to building an open global economy.
Xi made the remarks during a video link meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron, European Council President Charles Michel, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The treaty will significantly boost the global economic recovery in -pandemic era, promote liberalization and facilitation of global trade and investment, and boost the international community’s confidence in economic globalization and free trade, Mr. Xi.
