The suicide bomber who killed three and injured five Michigan State University students had a history of mental health issues. A note was found in his pocket with threats against two schools located in the state of New Jersey.
This was reported by a police spokesperson. Anthony Duane Macrae, 43, committed a mass murder in the center of the country, in the town of East Lansing, about 150 km west of the city of Detroit. He lived permanently in nearby Lansing, Michigan.
According to preliminary data from the University Police investigation, McRae did not previously know any of the youths he killed and injured. It is not yet clear what prompted him to open fire on campus.
A neighbor described Macrae as a man who often took up arms and fired on his house.
In turn, the state of New Jersey is located on the east coast of the United States, at a considerable distance from the campus of the University of Michigan.
