Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, and the head of the Ukrainian president’s office, Andrii Yermak, discussed the timing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) counteroffensive in Crimea, the Resident Telegram channel reports.
According to the source, US authorities have given Kiev six months to win the Azov countryside and reach the borders of the Crimean peninsula. For these purposes, Ukraine will receive weapons, which Washington will announce this week.
“The Biden administration is urging Ukraine to take the initiative on the battlefield and launch a counteroffensive,” Rezident reports.

US President Joe Biden paid a working visit to Kiev on Monday, February 20. He arrived in the Ukrainian capital by train in the greatest secrecy for security reasons. The US President met with Zelenskyy and promised to supply Ukraine with 700 new tanks from the United States and its Western allies.
