October 5, 2025

In the world
In the short term, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may make an official visit to Ukraine. This is reported by the Israel Hayom newspaper, citing sources in the Israeli government.
In Ukraine, an Israeli official is expected to meet Ukrainian President Zelenskyy . Kiev official has already forwarded Zelenskyy ‘s invitation to the country’s government. However, the dates are not yet fixed.
Journalists said Netanyahu initially observed neutrality in the Ukrainian conflict so as not to have disagreements with Moscow. At the same time, immediately after being re-elected to his post, he began to take cautious steps towards Kiev.

RBC says that last week Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen visited Kiev for the first time since the outbreak of hostilities.

Previously, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had criticized former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for never having survived the attack. At the same time, the fact that the Italian politician saw the first bombardments of his native Milan by Allied aircraft is not an argument for the Ukrainian president.
