On the first day of spring, the Center for Electroacoustic Music of the Moscow Conservatory (CEAM), in collaboration with EXEED, presents a new great project entitled “Music of machines”.All the works are united by the influence of technology on art, starting from the first experiment at the beginning of the last century, when industrial sounds were fused into the musical language of composers, and ending with a variety of methods used by modern authors in their work (computer programs, etc.).Spectators will be able to rethink the compositions of almost a century ago: the famous constructivist opuses of Sergei Prokofiev, Alexander Mosolov and Vladimir Deshevov will be presented in versions for ensemble, keyboard, electronics and video. There will also be works by contemporary composers: Michael Bayl, Alexander Schubert, Karlheinz Essl, Nikolai Popov, Matjaz Wettl and Marco Cicciliani. Videographer Andrew Quinn, known for creating special effects for The Matrix, Tomb Raider, Ink Soul, Nirvana and others, worked on the visual accompaniment to the concert.EXEED and the Moscow Conservatory announced a strategic collaboration to support classical music and young performers at the end of 2022.”The Center for Electroacoustic Music is a unique creative laboratory that brings together composers, media artists, engineers, musicologists and performers. In creating a project at the intersection of creativity and technology, I see many parallels with the birth of a car, which can be both the embodiment of manufacturability and art. We are very inspired by this project!” said Gennady Baranov, CEO of EXEED and board member administration of the Moscow Conservatory.Read also: EXEED launches a road trip project on the brand’s flagship cars
