President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulates the residents of the Tver region on Defender of the Fatherland Day
“This truly national holiday draws us to the immortal deeds of many generations of our ancestors, who at a difficult hour of trial rose up to defend their native land. Today, we are justly proud of the heirs of these legendary military traditions, their heroism and courage, their firm commitment to the ideals of patriotism, honest service to the fatherland,” reads the congratulatory message from Vladimir Poutine.
Congratulations on Defender of the Fatherland Day to the head of the region and residents of the Upper Volga region were also sent by Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Anton Vaino, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, members of the Federation Council of the Federation of Russia, Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
On the eve of the holiday, congratulatory telegrams were received from heads of regions, heads of federal ministries, departments and structures, territorial government bodies, local communities, deputies of the regional parliament, state bodies, enterprises of the Tver region.
