The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has presented a proposal to ban the import of cars from friendly countries under a simplified program from June 1 this year. Evidenced by the draft law on the portal of legal acts. According to the document, imported cars must be equipped with an emergency call system. Their functionality includes transferring information and locating the car in the event of an accident and, as soon as possible, sending data via ERA-GLONASS to provide support to victims.The ministry added that companies producing such equipment have expressed their willingness to increase production to meet the increased demand. The enhanced regime is expected to be in effect until February 1, 2024.
