Alexis Rocha (22-1, 14 KOs) has been announced as the official contender for the WBO welterweight title held by Terence Crawford (39-0, 39 KOs). The promoters of the boxers had 20 days to agree on the organization of the fight.The negotiations around this fight have been going on for several weeks. Rocha represents Golden Boy Promotions and Crawford has been a free agent for over a year now.Oscar De La Hoya is trying to sign Crawford to a multi-fight deal.
