Spy series The Night Manager starring Tom Hiddleston has been renewed for a second season

It’s been six years since British drama series The Night Manager concluded its first season. A popular TV adaptation of John le Carré’s 1993 spy novel is reportedly in development at Prime Video and the BBC. Tom Hiddleston will play the lead role of Jonathan Pine.Filming for the second season will begin this year in the British capital and will continue in South Africa. The script for them will be written by David Farr, who has worked on previous episodes. According to the official synopsis, the series will continue after the kidnapping of arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Lorre), which ended the first season. Two years later, Pine learns that he is no longer alive and faces a deadly new challenge.The first season was directed by Suzanne Beer. The plot followed the night manager of a luxury Cairo hotel and a former British soldier recruited to infiltrate an international arms trafficking ring. The series received two Emmys and a Golden Globe.
