In St. Petersburg, the family of the mobilized fighter Nikolai Murashev has been claiming the required insurance payments from the regional authorities since last year. The man died following an accident in Russia.
Murashev was sent to serve in the Belgorod region as a gunner on November 14. Six days later, the mother of the fighter, Irina Tikhonova, learned about the death of her son, writes Fontanka.
The certificate states that the man died in an accident on the Novy Oskol – Valuyki – Rovenki highway while performing military service. The column of the cannon artillery battalion went to the firing line in an open truck. When the car tipped on its side, Murashev fell – he was crushed by a heavy truck driving behind him.
The Luga branch of the Center for Social Protection of Population refused to pay 2 million rubles from the regional budget to relatives of the conscript. As a pretext, it is stated that the death notice and a certificate from the military unit do not confirm the fact of death during a special operation. The military truck did not have time to cross the border with Ukraine.
Murashev’s relatives filed a complaint with Governor Alexander Drozdenko, and the family’s lawyer filed a complaint with the prosecutor of the Western Military District. The administration promised to reconsider the decision.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of Balashikha near Moscow gave birth to a third daughter. The girl’s father died in a military special operation zone and posthumously received the title of Hero of Russia.
