According to Ukrainian media, the administration has already offered three options for the new names.According to local media, the Suvorovsky district of Odessa should be renamed Peresypsky, Limansky or Nikolaevsky. The Malinovsky district of the city could change its name to Stepovoy, Moldavansky and Khadzhibeysky. Besides the names of the districts, the city authorities also plan to change the names of a number of streets: Cosmonaut Komarov, Lyapidevsky, Levanevsky and Williams Street.The changing of street names associated with Russian personalities from culture, politics, science or military leaders is underway in Ukraine as part of a “decommunization” campaign. Ukrainian city authorities are also massively demolishing monuments dedicated to Alexander Pushkin and Alexander Suvorov.
