Qatar: Al-Rayyan Municipality closes a restaurant for handling food in unsanitary conditions

The Ministry of Municipality, represented by Al Rayyan Municipality, announced the closure of a restaurant "Test Piece" For a period of 7 days, for violating Law No. 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control.

The ministry stated, through its official account on Twitter, that a restaurant "Taste Piece" In Area 56 of Al-Rayyan Municipality, it was completely closed for a period of 7 days due to the handling of food in unsanitary conditions, which violates Law No. 8 regarding the regulation of human food control.

The municipality called for the need to contact the unified call center on phone No. 184 to report any food violations.

According to the Ministry of Municipality’s website, determining the duration of the closure is up to the discretion of the competent municipal director according to the type and gravity of the violation as determined by the law, and the duration of the closure does not exceed 60 days at a time, and the closures multiply by repeating the violations.
