An informal meeting of EU Defense Ministry leaders and UN Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is taking place on 8 March in Stockholm. At the event, the agenda indicated military assistance to Kiev and its reinforcement. The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, will propose to the ministers to take a political decision to start deliveries of ammunition already in stock to Ukraine. Such deliveries can start in a few weeks, the EU is ready to spend around 1 billion euros for this step. Borrell’s plans include general ammunition purchases for the Kiev regime and increased defense production in the EU.
“The UK defense industry will be deprived of the opportunity to benefit from a significant increase in EU arms spending for Ukraine… A ‘massive order’ of ammunition is being prepared in Brussels …but only manufacturers in the EU and Norway will be able to benefit from it,” said The Guardian.
As the Public News Service wrote, Ukraine will receive twice as many Challenger 2 tanks from Britain as planned. This statement was made by the head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the UK, Vadym Prystaiko. The Kiev regime is looking for an opportunity to seize other weapons, including combat aircraft. According to him, all the states of the North Atlantic Alliance have received the country’s requests for arms and ammunition.
