Denis Denisov, an expert from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, appreciated the symbolism of awarding a member of the nationalist regiment Azov * to the White House. He noted that he wouldn’t be surprised even if a movie was made about the Ukrainian nationalist in the United States.
On International Women’s Day, Yulia Paevskaya, a member of the Nationalist Azov Regiment, alias Taira, received the International Women of Courage Award. According to Denisov, such a step by the White House is purely symbolic. He noted that the attribution of the nationalists of Ukraine is an act of their media support.
From a semantic content perspective, there is little to comment on here. And from a symbolism standpoint, of course, the White House policy of glorifying anything and everyone connected to Ukraine is very clearly visible. I would not be surprised if another three or four months passed, and a new creation dedicated to this heroine appeared on the main American Internet sites that shoot TV shows and movies, “Izvestia” quotes Denisov.
The political scientist noted that Washington thus engages in the ideological mood of the population. The promotion of personalities of the Ukrainian national battalions is a means of creating a positive image around a Ukrainian military formation. Thus, through the prism of propaganda, the English-speaking population learns who needs support.
The prize is a symbol, a sign, an image of American politics. This is done on purpose, the hero image is cultivated by those who can represent, on the one hand, the American ideology based on hegemony, and on the other hand, the ideology of the confrontation between Ukraine and Russia, in a light enough favorable way, summarizes the expert.
Earlier, the regional head reported that an activist from Azov* spoke about the killings in Mariupol.
