The Omsk region decided not to refuse to organize a dry grass fire in the spring. Contrary to the recommendations of the Federal Forestry Agency, the region does not intend to postpone the events to the fall, explaining this by climatic characteristics.

“The fire hazard season usually closes in the middle of autumn, when the rainy season begins or the snow falls: at this time, professional burning is no longer possible, therefore, in our climatic conditions , it is advisable to carry it out in the spring,” Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes Ekaterina, a consultant at the Main Forestry Department of the Lendel region.

According to management experts, burning will not damage the forest fund and will ensure its safety. Along with the Omsk region, it is planned to carry out work in the spring in the Kurgan region, the Republic of Adygea, Buryatia, Yakutia and the Transbaikal Territory. Rosleskhoz will control the process.

“In the event that the fact of the occurrence of wildfires due to a violation of hot work technology is established, the subjects will be held responsible,” the department said.

Earlier it was reported that the strengthening of fire safety in social institutions and houses in which families with many children live in the Omsk region was taken over only after the tragedy in Belousovka . The children died as a result of the accident.
