Qatar: China’s chief diplomat: Saudi Arabia and Iran talks in Beijing are a victory for peace

Today, Friday, the Chinese chief diplomat, Wang Yi, welcomed the success of his country’s mediation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, noting that "Saudi Arabia and Iran talks in Beijing a victory for peace"stressing that the talks progressed due to the cooperation of the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Iran and China.

He added, in statements to Reuters, that China will continue to play a constructive role in dealing appropriately with thorny issues in the world in accordance with the wishes of all countries, noting that the talks provided "Good news" very turbulent world right now.

Today, Friday, Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to resume diplomatic relations.

A statement from Iran, Saudi Arabia and China said Tehran and Riyadh had agreed "To resume diplomatic relations between them and reopen their embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months".
