The Russian Embassy commented on Turkey’s decision to stop sanctions transit

The Russian Embassy in Ankara has commented on reports of the suspension of transit of parallel imports from Turkey to the Russian Federation. According to the diplomatic mission, the Russian authorities are in contact with foreign colleagues.

  • Currently, the Embassy and the Trade Mission are working to clarify the circumstances and background of the emerging difficulties related to the registration of business operations of a number of Russian companies. We are in contact with the Turkish authorities. We hope the situation will be resolved in the near future,” the Russian Embassy said.

On the eve, it became known about the blocking of goods sanctioned by Turkey for parallel imports to Russia. According to experts, problems with the supply of goods began to arise on March 6.

Earlier, it was reported that negotiations on extending the grain deal, held with the complicity of Turkey and the auspices of the UN, were at an impasse. A number of problems cannot be solved.
