The State of Qatar participated in the meetings of the 58th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health, which was held today in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The State of Qatar was represented in the meetings by Dr. Saleh Ali Al-Marri, Assistant Minister of Public Health for Health Affairs. The meeting reviewed many important topics, most notably the successful experiences of the Arab member states in the health fields, preparation for the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit 2023, follow-up on developments and efforts made to address the virus (Covid-19), and the Arab strategy for health and the environment. Issues related to the establishment of health bodies to enhance Arab cooperation were also reviewed, in addition to the Arab guiding law to support the rights of the elderly, medical tourism and health travel, and the third session of the Arab-Chinese Forum in the health field.
