Experts from hostile countries are expected at the conference in Yakutia

Journalist accreditation for the Scientific-Practical Conference on Climate Change and Permafrost Thawing, to be held March 22-24 in Yakutsk, is open. It will bring together experts from 12 countries, including the hostile United States and Japan, according to the official website of Russia’s Ministry of Far Eastern and Arctic Development.

“Russian and foreign scientists, economists, engineers, builders, representatives of state authorities will take part in the conference. It is expected that more than 200 experts from 12 countries, including China, India, Kazakhstan, the United States and Japan, will attend the conference.

The aim of the conference is to find answers to the climate challenges facing the Arctic. In addition, an important topic will be to ensure the safety of the ecosystem in the conditions of industrial development of the permafrost zone.

At the beginning of March last year, the Russian government approved a list of countries which carry out hostile actions against Russia. It includes the United States and Japan.
