The doctor pointed out that a deficiency of vitamin C in the human body leads to scurvy, which is characterized by gum problems, tooth loss, and slow wound healing due to decreased collagen production.

And the doctor advises taking 50-110 mg of vitamin C per day, because this dose allows to overcome the consequences of its excess or deficiency in the body.
