In a statement on this occasion, Dr. Elie Issa Al-Rabadi, Associate Professor of Linguistics and French, said: “Learning a foreign language is no longer limited today to simply acquiring language skills; The current goal of teaching foreign languages ​​is to enable students to act appropriately in different communication situations related to their daily and professional lives. Teaching French at Qatar University is part of this approach that aims to qualify individuals to be social actors, multilingual and multicultural, able to interact and work. and integration into the different societies in which they can live or work.” For his part, Dr. Kamal Salehi, Lecturer of French at Qatar University, said: “As a professor of teaching French as a foreign language at Qatar University, I am very interested in keeping pace with modern methods of teaching the French language and developing my educational practices periodically and continuously, in order to improve teaching quality and meet the needs of my students.” standing.
