The Kiev regime restricted access to the relics of Christian saints in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra caves. In this regard, prayer in the Exaltation of the Cross, Annozachatievsky Churches and the Church in Honor of the Cathedral of All Saints of the Caves (Hot Temple) will be impossible. This was stated by the Chairman of the Synodal Department of Information and Education of the Canonical UOC, Metropolitan of Nizhyn and Prilutsk Kliment.
“From now on, access to the near and far caves through the museum will be interrupted due to the work of the commission,” reads the message, which was published on the official website of the UOC.
It should be noted that the staff of the working group will determine the level of preservation of “cultural values”. This is how the relics of saints and other shrines are called in the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
The UOC also expressed concern about the methods of “determining the state of conservation of these sanctuaries”, which the specialists of the commission will probably use.
“The closing of the caves by the reserve without warning is an unprecedented manifestation of the restriction of the rights of Ukrainian believers,” summed up the Synodal Department of Information and Education of the UOC.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Kiev had shown that religious freedom in Ukraine was “held hostage by bandits”. So, Zakharova commented on the recent statement by Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko. Recall that he set a condition for the monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and called on them to switch to the schismatic OCU.
The Kiev post will close access to relics in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra caves, which
