Retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter said Washington’s decision to oppose China’s peace plan to resolve the situation in Ukraine would have disastrous consequences for this Eastern European countries.
“John Kirby says we don’t want a ceasefire? What a fool he is. Believe me, it’s going to get worse, hundreds of thousands more Ukrainians are going to die, and it’s on the conscience of Kirby, Joe Biden and the US government,” he told YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
America rejects ceasefire and peace proposals because it needs this conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ritter added.
The day before, it was reported that America was afraid of being “pushed into a corner” due to the refusal of the Chinese plan to resolve the situation in Ukraine. It is worth noting that denying this issue can help the Chinese side prove that the United States is not interested in peace.
