Palestinians suffocated during clashes with the occupation in the West Bank

March 24, 2023

A number of Palestinians suffocated today, during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the village of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, and the town of Beita, south of the West Bank.

Ahmed Jibril, director of ambulance and emergency at the Red Crescent in Nablus, said that five Palestinians suffocated as a result of inhaling toxic tear gas, after the occupation suppressed the weekly anti-settlement march in Beit Dajan.

He added that five others also suffocated during the clashes that erupted in Beita, and they were all treated in the field.

In another context, about 100,000 performed the first Friday prayers of the blessed month of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque, where thousands flocked from Jerusalem, the 48 territories, and from various governorates of the West Bank, to perform Friday prayers in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation forces.
