Datsik apologized to the public for the Brazilian’s quick knockout

Russian mixed martial arts fighter Vyacheslav Datsik has apologized to the public for the “too fast” knockout of his opponent, Brazilian Geronimo “Mandragon” Dos Santos.

The fighters met at the Ural Fighting Championship 2 tournament in Samara, their kickboxing fight became the main event of the evening. The fight ended at the very beginning of the first round. The fighters met in the clinch, at the exit of which Datsik caught the opponent with a right hook, sending him to the ground. The Brazilian couldn’t get up.

Datsik, 43, admitted after the fight that he “enjoyed it”.

“I apologize for the short fight,” he said.

Geronimo dos Santos is known to Russian viewers for his fights with Alexander Emelianenko, Ivan Shtyrkov, Sergey Kharitonov and Vitaly Minakov.
