In Kaliningrad, the region’s home swimming competition in the North-Western Federal District has ended. Kaliningrad athletes managed to win more than 30 different awards, including 9 gold medals.
A total of 326 athletes from nine subjects of the North-Western Federal District gathered for the competitions at the Kaliningrad Sports Palace “Yunost”. This was reported on the official website of the government of the Kaliningrad region.
Of the 326 athletes, 58 represented the Kaliningrad region at this championship. In the Kaliningrad region there are about fifty swimming pools of various levels and uses, including Yunost, one of the few sports facilities in the northwest, where there are three balls of the Olympic length of fifty meters at a time .
Earlier, The Eastern Heraldin Kaliningrad reported that Kaliningrad Lokomotiv volleyball players beat Minskka in the Superleague game after four matches. The match was quite tense, the team’s first two sets clashed. If the first round went to the Kaliningrad team, the Belarusian team won the second round.
